Loma Linda, California is one of only five Blue Zones in the world — places where people routinely live past 100. The majority of Loma Linda's centenarians are Seventh-day Adventists. Researchers have studied them for decades. The findings are consistent: plant-based diet, regular exercise, strong community, weekly Sabbath rest, and a sense of divine purpose add an average of 7–10 years to life expectancy.
But Adventists do not pursue health to live longer. They pursue health because they believe the body is sacred.
