Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the app:
- 1Open the Rose of Sharon app and sign in.
- 2Tap your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- 3Go to Settings.
- 4Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- 5Confirm your decision when prompted.
Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion. You have 30 days to cancel by logging back in. After 30 days, deletion is irreversible.
Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- The email address associated with your account.
- Your full name or username.
We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days.
What Gets Deleted
✓ Deleted within 30 days
- Your account profile (name, email, photo, bio)
- Your private prayer requests
- Your direct messages
- Your notification preferences and push tokens
- Your subscription and payment records (except legally required records)
Public content
Public posts, testimonies, forum comments, and articles you have published may be anonymised rather than deleted to preserve the integrity of community discussions. You can request full removal of specific public content by emailing us.
! Retained for legal compliance
We are required by law to retain certain financial transaction records for up to 7 years. This data is kept securely and is not used for any other purpose.
